Event Security
Security is one of the most challenging aspects of staging a major world class event in today’s climate. |
Safety and security is a considerable part of any major sports event budget and impacts on most if not all other functional areas of that event. The strategic design, management and implementation of the event safety and security strategy are both highly specialised and vital to the successful delivery of the event.
Rushmans are currently involved with the delivery of event security programmes worldwide that include the design of event security strategies, close protection duties, access and crowd control, public safety and the integration of law enforcement and other safety and security role-players.

Rushmans previous experience includes:
- ICC Cricket World Cup, West Indies 2007
- ICC Champions Trophy, India 2006
- ICC Cricket World Cup 2003, South Africa, Kenya & Zimbabwe
- African Cup of Nations Football 1996
- IRB Rugby World Cup 1995.
The International Sports Security Summit
(ISSS) held in London for the past four years was the
brainchild of Rushman’s Managing Director, Nigel
Rushman. Developed
as the most comprehensive and authoritative event
ever staged for professionals in sports security, ISSS
was attended on an annual basis by over 150 of the world's
leading delegates and speakers in sport security.
Now forming part of the International Sports Event Management & Security
Event which was staged at Wembley Stadium in October
2007, Rushmans is looking to the future and to strengthening its solid position in the major sports event management market.
